Life in the Desert
I danced in the desert,
I swam by the shores,
I spent warm nights under starlit blankets of silver,
I made friends from far-away places
I ate and drank and savored it all
I loved and was loved
What more could anyone ask for?
From streams of teapots seeming to fall like rain from the heavens, to mountains of spices, to perfect piles of hats and blankets, the full moon lit up the night sky in Kuwait city and we explored Souk Mubarakea.

Located in Kuwait City, in the Qibla area, Route 40 ends at the Souk. From fresh meat, to fish, to dairy and fruit anything you need could be found in this traditional shopping market. The fabric souk is found across the main road, filled with things that glitter and sparkle. No major purchases made, just fun conversation and fantastic photo opportunities at each corner. Sometimes it is just nice to admire the shiny things and a enjoy a wonderful vegetarian restaurant located on the edge of the Old Souk, Greenland.
So many of the photos I took tonight will inspire deeper, more interesting stories. Lately travel and life has inspired quick blogs. Now it is time to sitting down with a good cup of coffee, a computer and travel photos and take the time to work through whole stories and ideas.
